I just saw, that PlanetDiablo.com ist already used by some freerider else we could have used that as an entry point. So lets just find a fine name.

Hallo. At the moment I am reading Stephen King - The Dark Tower 1 - The Gunslinger in English. I don't really understand everything, but I recommend it to everyone who likes Stephen King. Besides, it really helps you to improve your English skills.

I haven't tought of that, clans don't normally have subforums, it might however be possible, we'll need to ask an admin to be sure. Could you do that? If it is not possible I am really convinced it is necessary to ask for two separate forums, I don"t think using the blub will make things really clear enough, and that _will_ slow down the whole process.

I already read the whole story in german and it is the best King ever wrote. But I won't buy all books in english additionally.

Double Post for Up

I PMed Destitute, the clan forum manager, and asked him for subforums in a clan forums. Technically there is no problem in doing this, but he wouldn't allow that until the clan really has problems with the given space. And if it is that huge and well visited one could even consider to convert it to a regular forum like OT, Comm, Strategy.

The main reason for this is that atm no clan has subforums and he wouldn't want to build an exception without good reason. I agree with his opinion.

Destitute would like the idea of a forum that is not only game related but also helps with english as a language. I don't know if we can manage that but we could try.

So all we have to do is write a pm to desti with a clan name, small description and stuff names, that is moderators and clan leader. As I sometimes don't have much time I wouldn't be a good clan leader but I would do some moderating if you want. I would rather see my job in translating guides and answering questions.

As a clan name I would prefer "the english corner" or something like that.

I agree with a simple name, no hidden meaning or whatever. English Corner sounds good, so does English Associates in my opinion. But this could already be to fixed on the persons active there and in my opinion that's not a good idea. It would somehow amplify the feeling of a closed society and that's exactly what we don't want. Okay, I'm actually just babbling here, it's pretty useless to make a suggestion just to talk it down right after. But I think this goes for all names, it should focus on the content, not the persons, so The English Corner would already be a good solution. In addition, I still want you, drago, as the clan leader. You're after all the reason all this started.

That is not quite correct, the trigger person was Smoky Kupster. I just gave his idea a try. There is no need to honor that little thread with a title. So if somebody likes to do the job, you are welcome.

But if you finally want me as clan oldest I wouldn't refuse the invitation. But who will help moderating?

I still consider you the stem of all this. drago for clan eldest! I'd help moderating but I don't think I'd be needed. So I'm going to stick to translating at first, if a sudden rush of work comes up, I'll be there to help anyway.

Where should one post Guides? One idea is to post english versions of guides in the corresponding char forum where they could be archivated. We also could collect them in the clan but we would need a lot of space then for stickys in order to keep them alive

nice to see this threat again.

I allways liked the idea to have a "corner" for non-german-speakers in the forum. So I am looking forward to the new english sub-forum.

I would suggest to have one threat where foreigners can get help regarding the PlanetDiablo-forum (i. e. how to participate in the trade-forums)

Maybe I can help translating some Guides or something like that.
