And now for something completely different...

If you should use teleport from an amulett or Naj's Puzzler you might want to consider that your amazon will be the very first target of the enemy's initial attack. He will never target the mercenary, your Valkyrie or any other minion first. At least that's my experience. Even worse, that I think he has auto-hit on the first blow when combined with a teleport attack move from you. I can't find any sources that confirm this, as with the first statement. It's just pure experience. Another effect seems to be that the mercenary gets auto-hit as well. This comes handy when it's about triggering Decrepify. (Note: The Author might talk big bullshit until right about now ;) )

As already said: Harmony puts quite some punch into the equation. You'll pay this with less speed. I don't know if you can compensate for that. If you can, I'd prefer Harmony over Passion. If it comes to Passion: Note that you should only go for the upper end of the scale of enhanced damage modifier (which would be 200-210%, with 210 being perfect). You'll lose some damage but gain another 25% IAS. The damage can be cared for using min/max-charms. Still I would stick to a GMB. It just offers some more damage compared to a Hydra Bow. So if you really want to try a runeword: GMB is your friend.
On the other hand it should be hard to match a Windforce on higher level...
Gets more complicated the more I think about it. The primary solution after all this thinking seems to be using WF (which is also the solution with the smallest coolness-factor ;) ), or at least switching to WF for the last "tiny" bit of life.

even though you use minions, I would try to spawn them alone aka "poor man style", then clean the minions a little with the wf, and then get cb and ow on the boss. btw: what is ga?

and drago: many points, not much points :P

GA = Guided Arrow

And he MUST spawn them separately, as already stated. Preferrably, Mephisto as the first one.

A little update: I just managed to get the organs from Lilith, Izual and Duriel with my ama. Izual and Duriel were very simple but Lilith is a pain. I finally used 10 revives from harmony to keep her occupied while my Merc and me finished her.

Interesting! So which equipment did you use and what were your tactics? I hope you'll write some report on your experiences!

I will write one when I have done the complete quest. For now the only relevant strategy was the Revive trick with lillith. The other two bosses were easy.

By the way, Harmony is my favorite runword :D It was the first one I ever had and, sad as it is, it was the only selffound runeword I ever had. But by now I'm planning my new Swordazon which shall fight with a 'Death'-coloss-sword. Fortunately, the runes I need are not that high, so I will try to find them, the lower ones, Hel, El and Ort, should drop from some monsters on my daily way up to baal. To get the Vex- and Gul-rune I'll have to do some Hellforge-runs, but within the ~4 times I've done it yet, my best drop was a Lum :(
My decision to play a bit selffound again came up yesterday when some guy shew (<-past from 'show'?) me a zod'ed etherical Harle

I think I really like this thread, my english gets worse and worse since I left school :-/ There seems to be no possibillity to keep my english up to date, even in baal-runs I often hear people speaking german-only :( Of course it almost makes sense if 80 percent of the baalrun-members are from germany, but I personally hate it when some guys chat in polish, italian, swedish or whatever and I do not understand a word...
So I'd like everybody to chat in english in baal-runs but it's not that easy to convince some people; or they get quiet and don't loose a word anymore..

Ok, I strained my brain enough for now, I hope it was not too much spam what I wrote but I'm sure I've followed the three rules :D

Hy, Badestrand. Welcome to the thread.

I don't think you worte spam and I like the idea of someone playing self found.

Thank you

I only knew that I always did wrong when I tried to form the past of 'show' :)

And I don't know if it was mentioned on one of the 15 previous pages, but only 40% Germans are able to speak english  And I know 4 people which study economic science (called "Wirtschaftswissenschaften" in german :D) and can't speak english a word; and I totally know only about 6 people which study economic science^^
Regarding the 40%, I really do wonder why some advertising-spots are shown completely in english  Ok, the english-language is 'in' and cool, at least for youngsters...

Welcome, Badestrand!

I made the experience that many people actually learned english at school but are too embarrassed to speak it in public. They should be able, though, because in germany you are surrounded by english language every day. Quite some of it being nonsense, admittedly. Anyway, english is the language that's the easiest to learn since there is so many english in german already as well as mostly english sung music.
But it's a sad thing to hear that your friends can't speak proper english. Especially, when they're studying economics as they'll be forced to use it almost every day (if they want to be successful of course ;)).

Greets,
Mobbel

P.S.: Go on and learn your irregular verbs, they'll help a lot ;)

The percentage seems to be due to the fact that people in eastern germany didn't lern english at school but russian. So if we have 80 Million people in germany there are 15 Million people with russia, another 20 Million people with no foreign language at school after WW2 (it is mandatory since 1964 at school) and another 10 Million Kids < 10 years.

So you'd put it at about half... although I believe, that a not be underestimated percentage of those kids under 10 can also speak a little english.

Hum, I think it would also help if germans would place their vacations in the USA, Canada, England or some other native-english country, rather than to ease in Mallorca. When I was about 12 years old, I was on vacation in Canada with my family (a damn wonderful country by the way ). My little sister, who is 7 years younger than me, learned to speak english quite well! My parents know some canadians which had kids at our age and we lived at their house during the 5 weeks. Within our family, we decided to hold our conversations in english only, to prevent talking german all time long :)
So after 4 weeks or so, my dreams at night were exclusively in english, which was kind of astonishing, and my sister was able to talk to our canadian friends like if it was her native language.
I hope I will get there again somtime... And, of course, studying half a year in England, USA or Canada would be quite interesting I think.. Although my girlfriend wants me to stay here :D

So after 4 weeks or so, my dreams at night were exclusively in english,
that is a known phenomenon, but as long as the subtitles aren't turkish it is ok ;)

that a not be underestimated percentage of those kids under 10 can also speak a little english.
So the main question about the statistics above is: what is called "speaking english"?

I think that 90-95% of german people have at least enough english skills to survive in a foreign country. That is: Ask for the way, for some food, or some help. And that's perfectly fine for most people because they won't need anything else than that. When it comes to more of a conversational skill the percentage drops rapidly to something about 20 to 50% I guess. I don't have exact numbers. It's more of a feeling ;)

I remember discussing the phenomenon of adopting english as the language of thinking earlier in this thread. You might want to look for it, Badestrand :)

Hey Guys !

What's going on here? Page 4 ????!!

We'll have to work on this ...

hmm.. now I have to say something .

I'm listening to this wonderful concert of Radiohead at the moment : http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=09ED1FC1AE75803D
There are seven parts to it. there is an interview in english beginning at the end of part two.

It was broadcasted on ARTE, the show, which by now doesn't exist anymore ( :( ), was called "Music Planet 2night", and they always invited really great artists doing unbelievable performances. I also have a videotape of Archive and one of Ben Harper from those shows.

Great music.

€ : Did I mention Thom Yorkes weird facial expression?

Nice to have someone posting here :)
Yorke's weird face comes from Thom Yorke's weirdness and is no surprise to me :D As you mention the downfall of high-quality music TV: It began with the death of VIVA2 which was a great platform for independend popular music. Too bad, that even ARTE just looks at the number of viewers... I still miss Charlotte Roche and a lot of the late-night-shows presenting unknown (but nonetheless great) musicians! So shame on all the chart-music-listening stupid children out there :autsch:

By the way: Shouldn't it be "It was broadcast"? I think I remember it this way...

Mobbel
