And now for something completely different...

I won't try to explain the medical problem to you in english :D

But the main problem is the landing after high jumps so I just don't do Volleyball any more, but other disciplines are ok. Won't try a marathon because that would cause the same effect after some time.

I started Tai Chi half a year ago. Something I can do for the next 30 years ;)

hehe Maschenka in my first semester I had to make phonetic transcripion of the second verse, the poem is great and fun to read.
Thx for sharing =D

Maschenka how about that one:

I take it you already know
of though and bough an cough an dough?
Others may stumble, but not you
with hiccough, thorough, slough and through.
Well done and know you wish perhaps
to learn of less familiar traps?
Beware of heard, a dredfull word,
that looks like beard and sounds like bird.
And dead- it's said like bed, not bead!
For goodness sake don't call it deed!
Watch out for meat and great and threat,
they rhyme suite and straight and debt.
A moth is not a moth in mother,
nor both in bother, broth in brother.
And here is not a match for there,
nor dear and fear for bear and pear.
And then there's dose and rose and lose-
just look them up- and goose and choose.
And cork and work and card and ward,
and font and front and word and sword,
and do and go then thwart and cart.
Come, come, I've hardly had made a start,
A dreadful language? Why, man alive,
I'd learned to talk when I was five.
And yet to write it , the more I tried,
I hadn't learnt it at fifty-five.

Not only a nice poem but an orange subtitle as well. Grats Rigor...

I need a new handy (or rather a real handy at all as I just had an old prepaid handy until now). My wife lost hers in a bucket of water and because handys can't swim, she took mine as she needs it for her job.

Both of us thought about organizers for some time now so we took a short look and found some handys including organizer funcionality like Nokia 9500.

Is anybody here who has a link or some advice where I can get a good handy with organizer, that is able to synchronize with Outlook and has a nice Camera built in= No need for really high Pixelrates, but my old digital camera (one of the first on the market) isn't up to date any more and every foto handy today delivers better pictures.

And as I don't have a handy contract I need that also. Maybe I can combine something with those two handys we need and one new contract for them.

Maybe somebody here has such a handy and may give some advice what to watch for.

P.S.: I use the word "handy" here because it's more common in germany. I know it is not right.

Edit: My mistake ^^

I'd recommend the Sony Ericsson P910i. Perhaps you should read this to get an overview of the functions and see if it's something similar to what you've imagined.

"Handy" is NOT an english word. It's a "denglish'" creation. You might want to use a Cellphone (US) or Mobile (UK) instead.

If you'd read the whole post you'd have seen that he is totally aware of that.
Furthermore, "handy" gets more and more popular in the U.S. due to the fact that mobile organizers integrate much more functions than just a phone and thus a new term is needed badly...

Greets,
Mobbel

Thank You, Mobbel....

I could use the term "notifier-cellphone-camera-organizer-multimedia-device" instead :D

(Polite as I am I won't mention that we had the handy already when we talked about false friends here :) )

You're welcome ;)

By the way: Congratulations for your new avatar^^

Re-reading my own post: Did we mention "hard" <-> "hardly" and "bad" <-> "badly" as some of the most evil false friends ever?

Nice avatar, drago;)

@Mobbelsche

I thought "Smartphone" was the correct name for these organizer/cellphone mixtures?

Well, I read it in the news lately that they try to come up with a short, yet descriptive name for cellphone/organizer/mp3-player/whatever things. Smartphone is quite nice but not as appellative as "handy". And "handy" means something like practically useful. i can't describe it right, though. Anyway, its meaning quite fits the item and its functions...
And on top of that it's already used in the U.S. At least that's what the article said...

Greets,
Mobbel

Hm, nobody here for cellphone tipps it seems.

I'll have an extended search on the internet at the weekend probably.

At the moment I'm more fascinated by the trainer releases in german soccer. Heavy traffic there ;)

handball > soccer ^^
anyone here watches the handball-"wm"?

I alwaya catch myself while standing infront of the TV screen .. just cannot stay seated when it's getting thrilling (=spannend??)

I do watch handball. Normally, it bores me to death but this tournament is really fascinating! The sport itself is much tougher than I always thought and it's really thrilling, as you said, because there's so much fight in it.

As to the releases in the Bundesliga: Just at the moment I heard the news on the radio that Doll is out, too. And I find it really amusing that Bayern Munich gets Hitzfeld again, the very trainer that they fired because of lack of success ;)
Another proof of the unhumanly business in this club, personificated in Hoeness, Rummenigge and the f**king Kaiser...

Luckily, Klopp will never be a "release-candidate"; makes Mainz even more loveable!

Greets,
Mobbel

thid posting only true cuas eist to show that its creator is seelery drunk and does not really care about wrinting mistake s anymore. Evidently YOU need a deep rest, my "tipsy" friend ;)

But it's nice to see your moral is intact regarding your girlfriend.

anyone here watches the handball-"wm"?
I watched the first half of the quarter final. btw, it is WC: world cup. Maybe I'll watch today, too.

oh, goo god, tv. dont know how long I hanvn't touched that thing... there just always seems something better to do, like gaming, being with friends or rowing.

oh, by the way drago your new avatar is very irritating...

I like it :) .

I found out, as I remembered after ~33 lessons to ASK, that there is no spelling for the letter "H" in english Ô.o...at least, that's what my teacher says.

So, if I want to write "his name was Hubert, Age(???) You Be E Ar Tee, as he always said...", then I am not able to do this correctly...

Strange. In German, you can at least say "Ha U Be E Er Te"...it's clear...
